Meet ‘Kush’, a custom built, track-ready KTM RC390 from Rajputana Customs

Motorcycle modification has grown a lot in India in the last few years. We now have several custom houses, paint shops and garages in several parts of the country. One of the popular names in the two wheeler modification circle in India is Rajputana Customs. They have done several modification projects on a variety of motorcycles. We have featured many of their projects in the past and here we have a KTM RC 390 motorcycle that has been beautifully modified to a track ready motorcycle. This modified KTM 390 motorcycle is named as Kush.

The images of this motorcycle have been shared by Rajputana Custom Motorcycles on their Facebook page. The bike has been commissioned by Kush Bansali, hence the name Kush. Looking at the bike, we could not find any visual similarity to a KTM 390 motorcycle. All the panels on the bike have been completely taken down. The whole bike gets a brown paint job that looks good on the bike. The flashy orange trellis frame has been painted in grey and engine and some other parts get a black finish.

Starting at the front, there is a shield like cover that gets a grey paint job. Two LED bars are integrated vertically and act as headlights. The stock headlights have been removed completely. The other noticeable change is the fuel tank. The sharp body cowl that extends from the fuel tank has been removed. The fuel tank itself has been redesigned to get s more soft and sporty look. There are no side panels seen on the bike. The frame is exposed and the single piece seat is placed right on it.

As we look at the rear, the custom made LED tail light is also seen. it is integrated inside the frame. The front gets company fitted USD forks. The alloy wheels were however replaced with blacked out spoke rims. The tyres on this motorcycle are also different from stock ones. It is now equipped with slick track spec tyres. The clip on handle bars, foot pegs all give it a sporty riding posture. Both front and the rear get disc brakes. The front brakes have been upgraded to Brembo units. The KTM 390 Kush gets a custom made exhaust pipe from Rajputana. This all-black exhaust pipe gets golden tip that looks elegant.

Overall, the bike looks extremely well built. It is not clear whether any modifications have been made to the engine or not. The KTM 390 is a powerful, single cylinder motorcycle even in stock form. It is powered by a 373-cc, single cylinder, liquid cooled, fuel injected engine that generates 44 hp and 36 Nm of torque. It looks like, all these modifications would have reduced the weight of the motorcycle and that would definitely improve the acceleration of this motorcycle.

The modification does looks very neat and definitely looks butch. Rajputana Customs has taken a minimalist approach to the motorcycle. The KTM 390 looks entirely different from stock and without any doubt looks aggressive. Exact cost of this project is also not available at the moment
